Position Details
Job Title: Principal Process Automation Software Engineer
Contract: 6–12 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rate: £50 per hour
The Role
We are seeking a Principal Process Automation Software Engineer to support ongoing design engineering activities and project delivery.
Working as a key representative of the business, you will support projects from quotation through to commissioning. The role will include, but is not limited to:

Working to customer URS requirements
*
FDS creation
*
PLC and SCADA software development
*
Software testing
*
Project commissioning
*
Providing ongoing project and engineering support
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duties of the role include:
*
Complying with all QHSE regulations, company policies, procedures and standards.
*
Delivering project-specific design and engineering tasks in a timely and effective manner.
*
Ensuring designs comply with all applicable regulations and customer specifications.
*
Developing PLC and SCADA software applications.
*
Testing and commissioning project deliverables.
*
Supporting colleagues and the wider needs of the business.
Qualifications
The minimum qualifications and training required for this role are:
*
Electrical Engineering-related degree or apprenticeship.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Required Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
*
10+ years' experience with Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix.
*
10+ years' experience with Rockwell Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk View SE.
*
Experience working within ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 environments
