We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. The role involves receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods while maintaining accurate stock records and high standards of health and safety. This is a hands-on role that plays an important part in ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive and check incoming goods against delivery documentation
* Safely store stock in designated warehouse locations
* Pick and pack orders accurately for dispatch
* Prepare goods for shipment, including labelling and wrapping
* Load and unload delivery vehicles safely
* Maintain accurate stock records using manual or computerised systems
* Assist with regular stock counts and inventory checks
* Report damaged, missing, or low stock to the relevant supervisor
* Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety requirements
* Follow company procedures and safe working practices at all times
* Support other warehouse and operations tasks as required
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Previous warehouse, logistics, or stock handling experience preferred
* Ability to carry out manual handling and physical tasks
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Desirable:
* Experience using stock management systems
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a warehouse environment
