Warehouse Operative Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative with forklift experience to join our team. The successful candidate will support the efficient day-to-day running of warehouse operations, including the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods using forklift equipment.
Warehouse Operative Key Responsibilities
* Operating a forklift truck (e.g. Counterbalance and/or Reach) safely and efficiently
* Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
* Moving stock within the warehouse and ensuring correct storage
* Picking and packing orders accurately in line with company standards
* Checking incoming deliveries against paperwork and reporting discrepancies
* Assisting with stock control and inventory checks
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
* Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations at all times
Warehouse Operative Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance, Reach, or equivalent)
* Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
* Good level of physical fitness
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good timekeeping and reliability
* Previous experience in a busy warehouse or logistics environment
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems
* Flexibility with shift patterns
Warehouse Operative Benefits & Hours of Work
* Mon to Thurs 745AM to 415PM and Fri 745AM to 330PM
* Hourly up to £13PH
