Security Project Engineer Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Security Project Engineer to join a small, independent security company as an integral part of their engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and handover of security system projects, working on a range of commercial sites as well as some large scale residential projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take greater ownership of projects, with responsibility for overseeing engineers and contractors, managing works on site and liaising directly with clients from project start through to completion.
The role will cover London, Essex, the M25 and surrounding counties, with no requirement to stay away from home.
Security Project Engineer Role & Responsibilities
* Install, commission and hand over electronic security systems.
* Take responsibility for projects from installation through to completion.
* Run projects on site and ensure works are delivered to a high standard.
* Oversee and coordinate engineers and contractors.
* Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
* Manage site activities and ensure projects remain on schedule.
* Carry out testing, commissioning and fault finding.
* Ensure systems are correctly configured, operational and ready for client handover.
* Complete project documentation and handover requirements.
* Work across a variety of commercial and large scale residential sites.
* Travel throughout London, Essex, the M25 and surrounding areas.
Security Project Engineer Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience as a Security Engineer / Project Engineer within the electronic security industry.
* Strong experience in the installation and commissioning of security systems.
* Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently.
* Experience overseeing engineers, contractors or subcontractors.
* Good client-facing and communication skills.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to travel throughout London, Essex, the M25 and surrounding counties.
