Caretaker Vacancy – Primary School in Leyton (One-Form Entry)
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our warm and friendly one-form entry primary school in Leyton. This is a key role in helping us maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and community.
Position: School Caretaker
Location: Leyton, London
Contract: Full-time, year-round (with some flexibility for holiday work)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the security, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the school site and grounds
Carry out minor repairs and practical maintenance tasks
Oversee deliveries and manage stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies
Ensure health & safety standards are consistently followed
Support the smooth daily operation of the school, including opening and closing the site
We are looking for someone who:
Is hardworking, organised, and takes pride in their work
Has practical maintenance/DIY skills
Can work independently and as part of a team
Is proactive in identifying issues and solving problems
Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding children
