About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join a growing manufacturing business in Leicester. This is a varied, hands-on position supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
You will work closely with senior management to provide professional HR advice, support employee relations, maintain compliance, and help develop effective people processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Manage employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and employee inductions.
Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, policies, and procedures.
Monitor HR KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate training, competency records, and performance reviews.
Support Health & Safety initiatives, statutory training, and employee wellbeing.
Ensure HR practices comply with UK employment legislation and company policies.
Support employee engagement, recognition schemes, and company events.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee information.About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Level 3 CIPD qualification or be working towards it.
At least 3 years' HR experience in an HR Officer, HR Advisor, or generalist HR role.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Experience handling employee relations, recruitment, absence, and performance management.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A professional, approachable, and confidential manner.
Good Microsoft Office skills and experience using HR systems.
Ability to work independently while also supporting senior management and wider teams.
