Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Health and Social Care Lecturer to join a college in Hull, with a start date as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator with a background in Health and Social Care or Early Years to provide their expertise and knowledge to the next generation.
The Role
Position: Health and Social Care Lecturer
Location: Hull
Start date: As soon as possible, lasting until at Least October 23rd 2026
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Pay: £20-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
As a Health and Social Care Lecturer, your duties will include:
Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons across Health and Social Care programmes.
Teaching students the knowledge and practical skills required for progression into health and social care careers.
Delivering both theoretical and practical learning activities.
Covering a range of topics including safeguarding, communication, equality and diversity, human development, health and wellbeing, care values and professional practice.
Supporting students with coursework, assignments, assessments and examination preparation.
Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
Monitoring and recording student progress, attendance and achievement.
Creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment.
Supporting students with their academic, personal and professional development.
Developing students' understanding of professional standards and expectations within the health and social care sector.
Encouraging students to develop key skills including communication, empathy, teamwork, problem-solving and reflective practice.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider college team.
Ensuring teaching and learning meets relevant curriculum and awarding-body requirements.Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates will need:
An up-to-date DBS.
At least a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a relevant subject.
A recognised PGCE or Cert Ed.
Relevant experience within Health and Social Care and/or experience teaching the subject.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
A genuine passion for education and supporting students to achieve their potential.
Have experience working within schools in the UK
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
