Pay Rate: £108.60 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Qualifications Essentials: CACHE Level 3 and 6 months experience
Qualification: Desirable- Makaton and Level 3 but experience is also welcomed
Experience: Experience in working with children and young people with autism- 6 months minimum
Overview:
Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected school for EYFS pupils up to KS2. The school have a high number of pupils in the nurture groups hence the requirement for personal care experience and qualifications. There are multiple roles available including daily casual bank and also long term full time positions. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled TA to really nurture their pupils and assist them in their transition to the full time mainstream.
The school is within Nottingham city centre and on the tram line. It is easy to access and the school is highly welcoming and supportive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist pupils accessing their curriculum
* Assist the teacher in assessing pupils progress and achievements
* Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
* Contribute to department improvement
* Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Ideally- A qualification in teaching assisting
* Has at least 6 months of classroom experience or in a SEND environment
* Is passionate about SEND education and student achievement
* Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
* Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
