All shifts have a 45 min lunch break and 2 x 15 minute breaks. Typically there will be a mixture of these shifts within a week period. The successful candidate will be expected to work over weekend periods. Individuals must be competent and happy to work alone within the kitchen during these times.
You are responsible for the highest standards of personal cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance. You are to comply with all Mess work instructions. You are responsible to the organisation for the highest possible standards of food preparation, production, cleanliness and hygiene of equipment within your work area, paying particular attention to the following:
• Daily messing. Including the production of 3 core meals served throughout the day.
• Ensure that Due Diligence is carried out to the highest standard.
• Ensure all areas are clean at end of shift ready for hand-over/take-over.
• Strictly adhere to recipe cards, cooking methods and use of specified ingredients.
• Receipt of deliveries, checking quantities, quality, and temperature before departure of the driver and reporting and discrepancies immediately to your line manager or Contractor.
• When required, assist with the loading or unloading of supply vehicles.

Essential:
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Written and verbal English language abilities to a level that enables effective understanding of instructions and policy documentation, and proficient engagement with customers
• Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Able to work a variety of shift patterns
