We are recruiting for an experienced Account Director β Healthcare to take overall responsibility for the successful delivery, commercial performance and strategic development of a major healthcare Facilities Management account in London.
π₯ This is a senior strategic leadership position for an established Facilities Management professional with significant experience within healthcare, hospital or complex FM environments.
π The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across the account, working closely with senior healthcare stakeholders while leading large, multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring facilities management services are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest possible standards.
π The role will provide significant autonomy to shape account strategy, drive service excellence, develop senior stakeholder relationships and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and commercial growth.
π Responsibilities & Duties
β’ π₯ Take overall accountability for the strategic and operational performance of a major healthcare FM account.
β’ π Develop and deliver a long-term account strategy aligned with client objectives, operational requirements and service expectations.
β’ π Provide visible and effective senior leadership across the entire account.
β’ π€ Build, maintain and develop strong relationships with senior hospital stakeholders, including executive-level contacts.
β’ π Act as the senior point of contact and escalation for operational, commercial and client-related matters.

β’ π― Establish clear objectives, expectations and performance standards across the operational structure.
β’ π· Take full ownership of P&L performance, budgets, financial controls and commercial outcomes.
β’ π Monitor financial performance and ensure the account operates in line with agreed commercial objectives.
β’ π Identify opportunities for account growth, additional services, operational efficiencies and commercial development.

β’ π Drive continuous improvement, innovation and service transformation across the FM operation.
β’ π Ensure all contractual obligations, KPIs, SLAs and performance requirements are consistently achieved.
β’ π Use operational performance data, reporting and analytics to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
β’ π§ Translate performance information into effective strategic and operational decisions.
β’ π‘οΈ Ensure robust Health & Safety, quality, compliance and risk management standards are maintained across the account.
β’ π₯ Maintain a strong understanding of the patient-critical nature of the healthcare environment and its impact on FM service delivery.
β’ π¨ Provide senior leadership during operational incidents, service failures, critical events and escalated issues.
β’ π€ Develop a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, engagement and customer service.
β’ π Promote a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement throughout the account.
β’ π₯ Support workforce planning, succession planning, talent development and leadership capability.
β’ π Coach and develop senior operational managers to maximise performance and engagement.
β’ π’ Ensure resources, people and service delivery remain aligned with operational requirements and stakeholder expectations.
β’ π Lead and support operational change, transformation and improvement programmes.
β’ π Ensure effective account governance, reporting and performance management processes are maintained.
β’ π Identify operational and commercial risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.
β’ π Ensure all contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements are understood and effectively managed.

β’ π Proven experience as an Account Director, Account Manager, Operations Director or senior Facilities Management leader within a healthcare environment.
β’ π₯ Strong experience working within a hospital, NHS, private healthcare or similarly complex healthcare environment.
β’ π’ Proven experience managing large and complex Facilities Management contracts.
β’ π₯ Significant experience leading large, multi-disciplinary operational teams.
β’ π§ Detailed understanding of the challenges associated with delivering FM services within a patient-critical and highly regulated environment.
β’ π· Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable experience of P&L ownership and budget management.
β’ π Proven track record of account growth, commercial development and delivering financial performance.
β’ π Strong understanding of contractual performance, KPIs, SLAs and account governance.
