Year 4 Class Teacher – Full Time – Baldock – Pay to Scale
Choice Teachers are working with a welcoming, one-form entry primary school in Baldock that is looking to appoint a dedicated Year 4 Class Teacher to join their supportive team after the February half term until the end of the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate KS2 teacher seeking a full teaching role within a friendly and well-structured school environment. The class has 24 pupils, providing a manageable and supportive teaching setting.
Role Overview
Position: Year 4 Class Teacher
Location: Baldock, Hertfordshire
Start Date: After February half term (Week Commencing 23rd February)
Contract Type: Fixed Term (until end of academic year)
Working Pattern: Full Time – Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:15am – 3:20pm
Salary: Pay to scale (£150 – £250 per day)
Class Size: 24 pupils
Key Responsibilities
Full classroom teaching responsibility
Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
Marking and assessment of pupil progress
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and leadership teams
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent – Essential
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 4 experience desirable but not essential)
Strong classroom management skills
Positive, flexible, and proactive teaching approach
Commitment to supporting pupil development and attainment
