Year 2 Teacher - Maternity Cover

A friendly and welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Camden/Hampstead is seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to cover a maternity leave. The position starts after February Half Term and runs until July 2026.
The role:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to Year 2 pupils, maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment, and ensuring continuity of learning during the maternity cover period.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and deliver lessons in line with the school curriculum
Manage a full Year 2 class, maintaining high standards of behaviour
Track and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Engage with parents and carers as required
Requirements:
Experience teaching Year 2
Confident, proactive, and able to step in and make an immediate impact
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Passionate about teaching and developing pupils' learning
