Warehouse Team Leader

Are you looking for a role that will allow you to bring some money in over the weekend? Are you working part-time and wanting some extra hours? Looking to bolster your annual salary? Are you wanting to slow down and not work a full-time role?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then this role may be suitable for you. I am looking to connect with people who have experience operating in a fast-paced environment and are keen to work 2 shifts over the weekend. I have x2 opportunities, both paying in the region of £22,000/£24,000 per year for working 2 days a week. One position will cover days and the other nights.

The Opportunity

We are supporting a leading food manufacturing/FMCG business to find an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to take full ownership of shift operations — covering people, processes and systems. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced warehouse environment handling temperature-controlled products and hazardous materials, where standards, safety and service excellence are non-negotiable.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Lead, develop and manage your shift team — including coaching, absence management, performance and disciplinary processes.

* Oversee the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods in compliance with company, quality, safety and legal standards.

* Drive KPI performance, manage shipping and receiving schedules, and make cost-conscious operational decisions.

* Maintain an audit-ready warehouse environment, uphold health and safety standards, and investigate incidents thoroughly.

* Ensure all associates are signed off on relevant policies and procedures, and that SOPs are effectively implemented.

* Prepare and co-ordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.

* Account for all materials and supplies; audit goods received into the warehouse.

* Support continuous improvement projects and contribute ideas to enhance overall service and efficiency.

* Deliver regular briefings and meetings with your shift/team, providing a platform to share ideas and improve customer service standards.

Skills & Experience

• FMCG background

• Proven people management experience

• Good working knowledge of WMS and computer systems

• Food industry experience

• Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally AX Dynamics
