Location: Newark (NG22)
Salary: £16.82 per hour
Hours: 8.30am - 17.30pm  - Monday to Friday 

Temporary ongoing role with the potential to become permanent after 12 successful weeks
 
The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy warehouse operation, ensuring productivity, safety, quality and service standards are consistently achieved. This role requires someone who can motivate a team, manage daily warehouse activities and support operational performance while maintaining high standards of compliance. A Reach Truck License with experience would be preferred. 
 
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support a small team of warehouse operatives across daily operations.
Allocate workloads and monitor productivity to ensure customer deadlines are met.
Lead by example, working alongside the team when required.
Operate FLT safely and efficiently.
Carry out goods-in, goods-out and stock movement activities.
Ensure accurate stock control and inventory management.
Conduct daily team briefings and communicate operational priorities.
Monitor attendance, performance and timekeeping.
Provide coaching, training and support to new and existing employees.
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
Complete accident, incident and near-miss reporting where required.
Liaise with Warehouse Management regarding staffing levels, workflow and operational issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the warehouse.
Complete relevant paperwork and system updates accurately.Skills & Experience

Previous experience supervising a warehouse or logistics team.
Valid Reach in date external FLT licence with experience
Strong understanding of warehouse operations.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and develop teams.
Good organisational and planning skills.
Experience working to KPIs and productivity targets.
Good IT skills, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Strong awareness of Health & Safety legislation.
