We are recruiting for experienced warehouse operative on behalf of our client to support day-to-day operations within a busy and well-organised environment. This is a permanent, hands-on role that involves a high level of manual work, with limited forklift truck use.
The Role
Duties will include:
* Picking and packing orders for dispatch
* Manual unloading and hand balling of deliveries
* Producing dispatch paperwork and labels
* Liaising with transport companies to ensure daily collection targets are met
* Using handheld scanners to maintain high levels of accuracy
* Managing stock and preparing transfers for outbound deliveries
* Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or using MHE
* Moving between departments as required (production, bulk, e-commerce)
This role involves heavy lifting and physical work.
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous warehouse or logistics experience
* Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred
* Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
* Organised, proactive, and positive attitude
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
