Job Description
Our client is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse operation. This role involves a variety of warehouse duties including goods handling, stock movement, and supporting the wider logistics team to ensure orders are processed efficiently. The role would suit someone hands-on, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative
* Receive and unload incoming deliveries and containers.
* Move and store stock safely within the warehouse.
* Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch.
* Load vehicles ready for distribution.
* Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts where required.
* Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate stock levels.
* Ensure all goods are stored correctly and safely.
* Support the wider warehouse team with general operational tasks as required.
Key Skills of a Warehouse Operative
* Previous experience working within a warehouse or production environment.
* Valid forklift licence (counterbalance ideally)
* Full UK driving licence is required.
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
* Reliable with a strong work ethic.
* Able to work well as part of a team.
* Good attention to detail.
* Able to follow instructions and work safely in a warehouse environment.
