Job Overview
We are currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Operative to join a well-established, family-run SME Company in Alton. This new position will work within the Warehouse team, primarily responsible for picking, packing, and dispatching goods in a proficient, accurate, and professional manner. The role also involves supporting in other areas of Operations as needed, such as goods inwards, replenishment, manufacturing, and packaging/banding. You will also need to be available to start New Year, preferably 1st week of January 2026!
Responsibilities
* Pick, pack & dispatch orders using the Handheld terminal and WMS system
* Counting and confirming inventor
* Maintain a clean and tidy work area
* Support and assist colleagues as required to ensure company goals are achieved
* Assist with receiving & checking incoming deliveries as require
* Assist with banding and packing assembly as required
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to streamline warehouse processes
Experience
* Basic IT skills, including MS Outlook or similar programs
* Forklift License preferred (training available)
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic, willing to learn
* Approachable, honest, trustworthy, and a positive team player
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high levels of accuracy
* Organized and tidy in working practices
* Physically capable of manual handling
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an advantage
