Our client is a leading Design, Build and Maintenance company operating across the South East, delivering value-driven solutions with a strong focus on safety and quality. Their work spans feasibility studies, design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance across specialist projects.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will oversee warehouse operations during the day shift (8am–5pm), managing all aspects from goods in through to goods out, while driving improvements in warehouse layout, operational efficiency and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all warehouse operations during the day shift
• Oversee goods in and goods out processes
• Review and improve warehouse layout and operational efficiency
• Take responsibility for people management, including performance and absence management
• Manage staffing, training, development and employee engagement
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement operational change
• Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve business objectives
• Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining operational accuracy

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent planning, analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to lead, structure and develop teams
• Strong process improvement and change management capability, ideally within a warehouse environment
• Ability to engage and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within a warehouse or day operation environment, ideally within a construction-related business
• Proven management experience with a hands-on leadership approach
• Strong experience leading, managing and motivating teams
• Demonstrated success in managing change and delivering operational results
• Leadership experience within an operational setting
• Experience using data to analyse issues and improve processes
• Solid computer skills
• Forklift licence preferred

Package:

• Permanent position
• Salary: £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience
