📍 Bilston | Children’s Residential Care | Full-Time
Are you someone who can bring calm, consistency, and reassurance during the most vulnerable hours of a young person’s day?
We’re recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker to join a therapeutic children’s residential service based in Bilston, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs within a small, relationship-led environment.
This provider has built a strong reputation for delivering trauma-informed residential care using a therapeutic PACE approach, focused on helping young people feel safe, understood, and emotionally supported. The homes are designed to provide stability, structure, and positive outcomes for children who may have experienced significant trauma, placement breakdowns, or complex life experiences.
Night support is a hugely important part of that journey.
This role is about far more than supervision — it’s about being a steady, trusted presence during the night, helping young people feel secure, emotionally regulated, and cared for in a safe home environment.

* Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
* Able to remain professional during challenging situations
* Comfortable working independently overnight
* Strong communicators with good written record-keeping skills
* Experienced within children’s residential care, SEMH, fostering, youth work, education, or similar settings
Desirable Experience / Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or working towards)
* Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
* Understanding of trauma-informed or therapeutic care approaches
* Knowledge of safeguarding and children’s residential regulations
