Our client, a notable entity within the energy sector, is seeking a Treasury Accountant to join their dynamic team in London. This permanent role primarily involves the administration of treasury, banking, project accounting, and cash management, focusing on minimising transaction costs and maximising finance income.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrating treasury activities including maintaining short-term cash flow forecasts
Managing cash surpluses and deposits
Overseeing hedging operations such as foreign exchange transactions
Maintaining dealing mandates and implementing Treasury controls
Administering cash pooling and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Monitoring bank counterparty credit ratings and market trends
Reporting on Treasury movements, balances, and performance against targets
Scheduling major payments and administering external leases
Banking:
Maintaining and administrating banking relationships
Managing banking mandates and authority levels
Overseeing electronic banking interfaces
Risk Management:
Overseeing group insurance policies and liaising with the audit committee
Coordinating with insurance brokers on renewals, terms, and pricing
Monitor Expenses Compliance:
Reviewing expense claims for policy compliance
Administering PSA with HMRC and submitting annual calculations and settlements
Job Requirements:
Experience in finance and treasury management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and liaise with various stakeholders
