About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Transport Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting individuals with disabilites to and from appointments, schools, and community activities. You will play a vital part in ensuring our clients feel safe, respected, and supported during their journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle
* Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle using appropriate equipment (e.g. ramps, lifts)
* Ensure passengers are secure and comfortable throughout the journey
* Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, families, and the office team
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
* Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies
Requirements:
* Valid UK Full driving licence
* MUST be able to work between the hours of 8:30am - 10:30am & 2:30pm - 4:30pm Monday to Friday Term Time and occassional Saturdays.
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals is desirable
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* A caring, patient, and professional approach
* Ability to handle challenging situations calmly
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
