On behalf of our forward-thinking client, based in Ware, we are seeking an Accounts Assistant / Trainee Accountant.

Salary: £25,000–£26,500 (DOE) | Full-Time | AAT Study Support Available
Location: Ware
Contract: Full time, permanent, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm
What You’ll Be Doing as a Trainee Accountant / Accounts Assistant
You’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting and payroll functions, including:
* Performing bank and payroll reconciliations
* Managing the sales ledger and credit control processes
* Carrying out nominal ledger analysis
* Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Checking and processing net wage payments
* Providing ad-hoc administrative support (emailing, scanning, filing, clerical duties)
* Taking on other finance and office tasks as needed to support the team

Who We’re Looking For
We value attitude and ambition just as much as experience. The ideal candidate will be:
* Confident, adaptable, and eager to develop within a professional finance environment
* An AAT studier, or someone keen to begin their AAT journey (full study support provided!)
* A clear and professional communicator with a positive, proactive approach
* Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel experience essential)
* Familiarity with Sage is a bonus, but not essential
* Previous accounting or office experience is helpful—but not essential.
