We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Language & Literature Teacher to join our secondary school client on a long-term temporary basis, covering the absence of a permanent member of staff. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential), maintaining continuity and high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities

Teach English Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons

Assess, monitor and report on student progress
*
Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment
*
Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff
*
Fulfil pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities in line with school policies

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*
Has experience teaching English at secondary level
*
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
*
Is adaptable, reliable and able to step into an established role smoothly
*
Has strong communication and organisational skills
