About the role
We are looking for a calm, compassionate, and reliable Telecare Officer to join our Linkline Telecare Service. This is a vital frontline role where you will help keep vulnerable adults safe and supported to live independently in their own homes.
Working on a shift basis across 24 hours, 365 days a year, you will be the first point of contact for service users who activate their telecare alarms. You will assess situations quickly and respond appropriately to prevent harm, provide reassurance, and coordinate support when it matters most.
No two shifts are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role for someone who thrives under pressure and values excellent customer care.

* Assess emergency and non-emergency situations and take appropriate action
* Provide calm reassurance and clear communication to vulnerable adults
* Liaise effectively with emergency services, colleagues, carers, and partner agencies
* Accurately record actions and maintain service user information using digital systems
* Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a responsive and high-quality service
What we’re looking for
* Experience of working within adult social care or supporting vulnerable adults
* A calm and confident approach, particularly in emergency or high-pressure situations
* Strong communication skills with a caring, patient, and customer-focused manner
* Ability to use technology confidently and adapt to a range of digital systems
* A team player who can also work independently when required
* Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays
Special conditions
* Shift pattern typically consists of 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (days and nights)
* Weekend and Bank Holiday working required
* Subject to an enhanced DBS check
* You must be able to drive a leased car as part of the role
* This role is office-based and does not support home working
