Technical Accountant Closedown Review

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Technical Accountant Closedown Review to join Bromsgrove District & Redditch Borough Council on an initial 4 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Support a key workstream within the department, focusing on a comprehensive review of the authorities' closedown arrangements and preparation of the Statement of Accounts.

*

Provide support to the Corporate Finance team as required, undertaking duties aligned to a Chief Accountant function.

*

Budget monitoring arrangements, virements, approvals and audit trails

*

Strengthening balance sheet assurance arrangements

Essential Requirements

*

Applicants must be fully qualified CCAB accountants

*

possess a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience.
