Team Leader – Residential Children’s Home
Location: Winchester, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000–£34,000 + £50 sleep-ins
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, a small residential home for up to three children is seeking a Team Leader to provide high-quality, trauma-informed care and lead a team of Support Workers. You’ll oversee shifts, respond to incidents, support care planning, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
Responsibilities of a Team Leader:
- Lead and mentor staff, ensuring excellent standards of care
- Provide senior cover across days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
- Build positive relationships using PACE and trauma-informed approaches
- Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding and Ofsted standards
- Support daily operations and liaise with external professionals
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Previous experience in residential childcare
- At least 12 months previous experience in a Senior/Team Leader capacity
- Confident supporting children with complex emotional/behavioural needs
- Able to lead shifts and make sound decisions
- Resilient, empathetic, and flexible
Desirable: Senior/Shift Leader experience, Level 5 ambition, knowledge of PACE, full UK driving licence.
