SEN Teacher - Thanet, Kent

We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Thanet that supports pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require additional support to succeed in education.

The school provides a nurturing and highly supportive environment, where students benefit from smaller class sizes, a personalised curriculum, and strong pastoral support. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils feel safe, understood, and able to engage positively with learning.

Why Work in a Specialist SEN School?

Working within a SEN setting offers a uniquely rewarding teaching experience, including:

Small class sizes, allowing for greater focus on each pupil

Adapted and flexible curriculum tailored to individual needs

Strong support staff presence within the classroom

A focus on holistic development, not just academic attainment

Opportunities to see real progress and impact in students' lives

A collaborative and supportive staff team

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working with pupils with ASC, SEMH, or additional needs (desirable but not essential)
