The Role

You will be working within a specialist setting, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs alongside associated behavioural challenges. This role suits a resilient and empathetic teacher, able to create a calm, structured learning environment and motivate pupils in need of additional support to reach their full potential.

Role Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Develop positive relationships that encourage engagement and learning
Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals 

Skills and Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required
At least 6 months’ experience within an SEN or SEMH setting
Excellent behaviour management skills
Enhanced Child or Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months

Salary: £140 - £253 per day (PAYE or Umbrella)
Start Date: 1st September 2026
