About the Role
A high-achieving and well-regarded secondary school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics to join its successful humanities faculty on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to a dynamic department for the remainder of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging PRE lessons mainly across Key Stages 3
Inspire students to think critically about philosophical, ethical and religious issues
Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with departmental expectations
Contribute to the wider life of the department and school where appropriateThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have strong subject knowledge in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics
Be an effective classroom practitioner with excellent communication skills
Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
