Substation Commissioning Engineer

My client is a specialist in protection testing and low and high voltage systems, they pride themselves on their strong national reputation in the electrical engineering field.
They’re looking for a commissioning engineer to join their team who has experience in undertaking the following activities:

Requirements:

* CT Analysis

* Secondary Injection testing

* Primary Injection testing

* Functional testing on a wide range of substation equipment

* Fault finding

* SCADA testing

* Production of comprehensive commissioning reports / plans, "as-built" drawings, and test dossiers for client handover.

* Protection testing

* Competent in using relay-specific software, e.g. PCM, S1, DIGSI

* Battery Charger testing

* Proficient with Omicron Test Equipment / Software

* Proficient with Microsoft Software

* CSCS/ECS card

* Full UK Driving License

Desirable:

* Experience on Network Rail Infrastructure holding a valid PTS

* Deep understanding of IEC 61850 standard e.g. MMS, GOOSE, Sampled Values

* Proficient in Instrument, Protection & Control

* Transformer Testing

* High and low voltage cable testing

* Current Senior Authorised Person (SAP) or Authorised Person (AP) status.

* Experience in the testing and commissioning of DC Traction Substations
