Job Title: Storeperson / Warehouse Operative (Forklift Operator)
Salary: £28k to start with the going to £30,600 after probation
Location: Banbury
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
30 days per year, inclusive of public holidays
Main Purpose of the Role:
To manage the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while operating a forklift truck to move stock efficiently within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receiving, unloading, and checking incoming deliveries
* Operating a forklift truck to move and store goods safely
* Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
* Loading vehicles using appropriate handling equipment
* Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records
* Ensuring goods are stored correctly and safely
* Inspecting loads for damage or discrepancies
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
* Following all health and safety procedures and site regulations
* Completing basic paperwork or using warehouse management systems
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous warehouse/storeperson experience (preferred)
* Valid forklift certificate (e.g. from RTITB, ITSSAR, or NPORS)
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic IT or stock control system knowledge (desirable)
* Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks

* Reliable and punctual
* Safety-conscious, especially when operating machinery
* Organised and methodical
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Valid forklift training certificate
* Good Maths and English skills
* Understanding of workplace safety (aligned with Health and Safety Executive guidelines)
