This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding healthcare solutions provider in a newly created position, where you will play a key role in maintaining stock integrity, improving warehouse processes, and supporting business-wide operations.
This market-leading healthcare solutions provider supports care homes and hospitals across the UK, supplying and maintaining essential equipment. As the business continues to grow, they are now looking to appoint a Stock Controller to take responsibility for stock control within their Warehouse & Distribution department, ensuring accuracy, organisation, and efficiency across all stock locations.
You will take full accountability for the stock control function, leading a small team and working closely with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales teams. This includes overseeing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing returns, damages and special items, and maintaining a safe, tidy, and well-organised warehouse environment.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by improving processes, introducing efficiencies, and developing clear stock control standards within a supportive and hands-on management structure.
Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of stock control, accuracy, and reporting
Lead and support stock control operatives and warehouse staff
Plan and carry out cycle counts and stock audits
Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Manage returns, damages, slow-moving and special stock
Maintain FIFO, storage standards, and warehouse housekeeping
Support Health & Safety checks and compliance
Provide regular stock reports and operational insight to management
The Person:
Proven experience in stock control or warehouse operations
Previous experience leading or supervising staff
