Education
Do you enjoy being around sport?

Or maybe you’ve thought about working in a school but weren’t quite sure where to start?

Quokka Education is working with number of well-regarded secondary schools across North Hampshire, including Basingstoke, Fleet, Hook, Farnborough, Alton and Andover.

We're we’re looking for confident, reliable people to step in as Cover Supervisors on a flexible and long term basis.

No experience? That’s absolutely fine.

You don’t need previous classroom experience - just the confidence to communicate, stay calm, and lead a group.

We’ll support you with training, guidance, and the chance to spend time in schools before you start, so you feel comfortable from day one.

What the role involves
• Delivering pre-set lesson plans
• Keeping students engaged and focused
• Managing behaviour in a calm, consistent way
• Following the school’s routines and expectations
• Feeding back to teaching staff where needed

Why this role?

If you’ve ever considered teaching, this is a great way to try it properly - without committing straight away.
You’ll gain real classroom experience, build confidence, and get a feel for whether it’s the right path for you.
Through our partnerships, we can also introduce you to local teacher training routes - including salaried options to gain QTS.

Who this role would suit
We often find this works really well for people with a background in sport, such as:
• Sports graduates or aspiring PE teachers
• Coaches or people used to leading groups
• Anyone active, energetic, and confident in front of others
• Graduates or those looking for a new direction

You don’t need to have worked in a school before - it’s more about how you communicate and carry yourself.

What we offer
• Flexible work to fit around you (part-time or full-time)
• Opportunities in local schools
• Weekly pay from £120 per day (PAYE)
• Free training in behaviour management, SEN, and safeguarding
• Experience and shadow days before you start
• A people-first approach built on fairness, transparency, and support

Safeguarding
At Quokka Education, safeguarding comes first.
All applicants will be vetted in line with DfE guidance, including an online search as part of the process. We’ll guide you through each step so you know exactly what to expect.
