Our Specialist Maths & English SEN Tutors play a key role in supporting students with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them rebuild confidence and make progress in core subjects.

We support learners with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and those working below expected academic levels. Each student requires a personalised, flexible approach, and we are looking for tutors who can adapt their teaching to meet diverse needs.

This part-time role begins after the Easter half term and offers flexibility, making it ideal for tutors seeking rewarding work alongside other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, one-to-one Maths and English sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
Adapt lesson plans to suit EHCP targets, ability levels, and learning styles.
Support students with emotional regulation and engagement strategies.
Build strong, consistent relationships to create a safe and positive learning environment.
Monitor progress and provide structured feedback to parents, carers, and professionals.

Essential Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths and/or English.
Experience working with students with SEN in a 1:1 or small group setting.
Strong behaviour management and flexibility in approach.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Qualifications:
PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
Experience within alternative provision or intervention settings.

If you are a dedicated and adaptable tutor who can confidently deliver both Maths and English while supporting students with additional needs, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a flexible, part-time role.
