We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join a busy and well established gastro pub in Royston. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef looking to work within a fresh food environment that values quality, creativity and teamwork.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day to day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Assisting in menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients
Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
Managing stock control and minimising waste
Ensuring consistent quality across all dishes
Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef within a gastro pub or fresh food environment
Passion for high quality food and attention to detail
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
Applicants must be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends
