Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This permanent role provides an excellent opportunity for an engineer to further develop their software quality assurance skills within a dynamic and impactful industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring adherence to software quality assurance processes and standards
Supporting diverse programmes and project activities
Collaborating with the UK Engineering Directorate's software development teams
Ensuring quality standards for hi-tech systems
Building strong relationships with colleagues across various programmes
Leading Project Quality Assessments and identifying risks and critical issues
Providing input to monthly reports
Maintaining clear and effective communication, both orally and in writing

Job Requirements:

Understanding and background in software development and quality assurance
Knowledge of software processes, including national and international standards
Ability to influence change and collaborate objectively
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage unexpected changes
Engineering Degree or equivalent, with relevant experience
Experience or knowledge of configuration management, documentation, and requirements management systems
