The programme combines practical training in Python, Flask, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and AI-supported development tools such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot. Learners build real-world coding projects, develop a professional GitHub portfolio, and finish with a guaranteed interview with a hiring employer.
Role Overview
We’re seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Software and Web Development Tutor to deliver engaging, hands-on training that empowers learners to build modern web applications. You’ll guide participants through foundational coding, back-end and front-end development, and integrating AI tools into the workflow.
This is a hybrid role combining in-person teaching at our London campuses with online delivery. You’ll support learners from diverse backgrounds, helping them gain job-ready skills and the confidence to enter the digital workforce.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver interactive lessons covering Python, Flask, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and AI-assisted coding tools.
* Guide learners through practical projects, debugging, and code reviews.
* Support portfolio and GitHub development aligned with junior developer roles.
* Provide individual and group mentoring, feedback, and employability coaching.
* Collaborate with Career Tree’s Employer Engagement team to align projects with industry needs.
* Prepare learners for interviews and technical assessments with employer partners.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Strong professional or teaching background in software or web development.
* Proficiency in Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and a framework such as Flask or Django.
* Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot).
* Knowledge of databases, version control (Git/GitHub), and agile practices.
* Excellent communication and mentoring skills; ability to teach complex topics clearly.
* Experience supporting adult learners or delivering bootcamp-style training (desirable).
What Learners Will Achieve
By the end of the bootcamp, learners will:
* Build full-stack web applications using Python, Flask, HTML/CSS, and databases.
* Apply AI tools to enhance, debug, and accelerate development.
* Understand agile workflows, version control, and software project delivery.
* Showcase a portfolio-ready final project on GitHub.
* Attend a guaranteed interview with a tech employer or hiring partner
