Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Hours: 15 hours per week (split shift - morning and afternoon)
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Operative (School Caretaker) to support the day-to-day running of a school site in Stockton. This role is ideal for someone with previous school caretaking experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained at all times
Carry out general repairs, maintenance, and site management duties
Support and monitor health and safety compliance across the school site
Open and close the school building
Manage tasks independently and respond to site issues as they arise
Some Cleaning dutiesEssential Requirements
Previous experience working as a school caretaker or site operative
Good knowledge of school site operations and health & safety procedures
Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to purchase one
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and be dependable
Driving licence with access to a carThis is a part-time, split-shift role, working mornings and afternoons, totalling 15 hours per week.
