Site Caretaker / Facilities Support

Site Caretaker 

Pertemps Burton are currently recruiting for a site caretaker for a client based in the Lichfield area. 

£15.00 - £16.00 per hour

Duties will include a range of site and facilities responsibilities such as conducting fire drills, alarm and system checks, Legionella monitoring, general maintenance/handyman tasks, managing wear and tear, and site lock-ups.

Please note this is not a cleaning role, as dedicated cleaners are already onsite.

The site itself is relatively large, with extensive grounds and multiple buildings. This includes an older Edwardian-style main school block (approximately five classrooms and a gym), along with several smaller surrounding buildings. While not a large school overall, the spread-out layout means the role requires someone proactive and able to manage their time effectively.

There is a School Business Manager onsite who is very familiar with the site and will provide support. They will also be responsible for line managing the successful candidate.

Working hours are flexible and can be discussed. The school is open to morning shifts, evening shifts, or split shifts. 

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS (essential)
Right to Work in the UK
Minimum of 24 months’ references
Previous experience in a similar role
Available to start immediately
