Job Title: Contract Service Manager / Project Engineer

Location: Field-based with some office coordination

Reports to: Regional Service Manager

About the Role

SECOM is looking for a capable and hands-on Contract Service Manager / Project Engineer to support a high-profile customer contract. This is a varied role that combines field leadership, engineer support, technical problem-solving and service coordination. It would suit someone who enjoys being close to the operation, can organise activity effectively and is confident supporting engineers and customers in a fast-moving environment.

Working as part of SECOM’s service operation, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day coordination of service, maintenance and project-related activity. You will work closely with internal teams and customer stakeholders to ensure work is planned properly, engineers are supported and service delivery remains safe, compliant and responsive.

What You Will Be Doing

You will coordinate daily service activity across a dedicated contract, ensuring engineers are briefed, supported and deployed effectively. You will work with customer contacts and internal support teams to plan workstreams, respond to operational issues and maintain continuity across service, installation and decommissioning activity.

You will provide day-to-day guidance to engineers, offering technical support and practical direction where needed. You will also help oversee planned maintenance scheduling, contract reporting, compliance tracking and training requirements to ensure the team remains effective and fully compliant.

This role also requires a willingness to support the operation directly in the field when required, including occasional practical cover and involvement in contract-specific logistical duties.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with a strong background in service engineering, service supervision or field operations within CCTV, electronic security or a similar technical service environment.

You should have experience coordinating engineers in the field, managing competing priorities and working closely with customers and internal support teams. You will need sound technical knowledge, strong organisational skills and the confidence to make decisions in a live operational setting.

The successful candidate will be practical, reliable and adaptable, with the ability to balance office-based coordination with field-based support. Experience of planned maintenance, compliance oversight and technical service delivery would be highly beneficial.

Why This Role May Appeal

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a visible and important contract role with a high degree of operational involvement. It offers variety, responsibility and the chance to make a direct impact on service quality, team performance and customer satisfaction
