Senior Sales Administrator – Truck Sales

Our client, an established commercial vehicle business based in Derby, Derbyshire, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Administrator to join their busy Truck Sales team. The successful individual will oversee vital administrative functions, support the team’s development, and ensure operational accuracy. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with a background in automotive, commercial vehicles, or logistics.

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm

Flexibility in managing diverse administrative tasksDuties of a Senior Sales Administrator:

Oversee daily workflows within the administration team, ensuring deadlines are met and workloads balanced
Support, mentor, and develop team members, acting as a point of escalation for complex issues
Develop and implement improvements across administrative processes
Generate, analyse, and manage departmental reports, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness
Manage high-value customer accounts with a customer-focused approach
Assist in planning vehicle movements and coordinate operational activities
Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless workflow
Check month-end deal files for financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Process support claims and pricing credits, tracking them through to payment
Conduct audits and maintain data quality and compliance standards
Monitor departmental objectives and maintain high standards of service
Communicate regularly with the Truck Sales Manager regarding performance and escalations
Oversee vehicle ordering, delivery tracking, and reporting activitiesRequirements of a Senior Sales Administrator:

Proven experience within an administration role, ideally in automotive, commercial vehicles, or logistics sectors
Experience supervising or mentoring an administrative team
Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on financial accuracy and data integrity
Proactive, methodical, and solutions-focused approach to problem solving
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, confident engaging with colleagues, customers, and senior management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
