Senior Planner - Complex Construction - Outside IR35

Our client, a leading consultancy within the construction sector, is currently seeking a Senior Planner for complex construction projects. This contract role focuses on early-stage PMO setup environments and works within diverse sectors including pharmaceutical, airports, data centres, and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Establishing planning governance, procedures, and processes during early project conception stages
Supporting the development and implementation of project plans
Managing project schedules and ensuring alignment with overall project goals
Working closely with project managers, stakeholders, and various teams to ensure cohesive planning
Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as required
Providing comprehensive planning input for major live complex design and build projects
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
Reporting and presenting project status updates to senior management and clients

Job Requirements:

Significant experience in project planning within early-stage PMO setups
Experience working on major live complex design and build construction projects, such as airport terminals, data centres, pharmaceutical plants, hospitals, or major rail station programmes
Strong understanding of planning governance, procedures, and processes
Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in project planning software and tools
Relevant qualifications in project planning or construction management

Requirements:

Contract role based in London with hybrid working options
Position is outside IR35
