Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, with the ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. Duties

* Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.

* Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.

* Supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their health or behaviour.

* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

* Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.

* Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.

* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring all information is up-to-date.

Qualifications

* Previous experience in a care home setting or senior care role is essential.

* Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership skills within a team environment.

* Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.

* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when needed.

* Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is advantageous.

* Proficiency in IT systems related to healthcare documentation is beneficial.
