About the Role
Onpoint Care Recruitment is seeking experienced and confident Senior Healthcare Assistants to support nursing and residential homes across East Sussex. This role is ideal for care professionals who are compassionate, reliable, and confident leading care delivery on shift.
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting residents with a wide range of needs, ensuring dignity, safety, and high‑quality person‑centred care at all times. You’ll work flexibly across different services, bringing your experience and leadership to every shift.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and supporting care teams during shifts
* Providing high‑quality personal care and support to residents
* Assisting with mobility, nutrition, hydration, and daily living tasks
* Supporting residents with dementia, complex needs, or behaviours that may challenge
* Completing accurate documentation, observations, and handovers
* Supporting with medication (if trained and authorised)
* Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and reporting changes promptly
* Ensuring safeguarding, infection control, and care standards are upheld
* Promoting dignity, independence, and person‑centred care at all times
Essential Requirement
* Minimum 6 months UK experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant
Desirable
* Medication training or experience administering medication (training updates provided)
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
