We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join a well‑established Younger Adults Residential Home in Tavistock, supporting individuals with Mental Health conditions, Learning Disabilities, and Behaviours of Concern.
About the Role
This is a full‑time position working 40 hours per week, offering a mix of supernumerary and shift‑based work to ensure strong leadership presence across the service.
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring high‑quality care, compliance, and a positive environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Registered Manager with operational oversight
Leading, mentoring, and developing the staff team
Ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding practices
Supporting with rota planning, audits, and compliance tasks
Promoting a positive, person‑centred culture
Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and external agencies
What We're Looking For
Experience working within Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Behaviours of Concern services
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
A compassionate, person‑centred approach
Ability to work both supernumerary and on shift as required
Commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing
