As a Senior Health Care Assistant, you will provide essential care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will assist with personal care, mobility, medication, and health monitoring, while supervising junior care staff and ensuring high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
* Support mobility, transfers, and physical exercises.
* Administer medication according to care plans and training.
* Monitor and record patients’ health, symptoms, and behaviour.
* Supervise and support junior HCAs.
* Contribute to team meetings and improve patient care.
Requirements:
* Health & Social Care NVQ Level 3–5.
* Valid DBS or willingness to complete one.
* Medication Administration Practical Training Certificate.
* Moving & Handling Practical Training Certificate.
* Previous senior healthcare or supervisory experience.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Good knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations.
