Avon Search is currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant on behalf of a well-established, family-run luxury retirement home in Bournemouth.
This charming Victorian residence is set within extensive landscaped grounds, offering residents a peaceful and tranquil environment close to local amenities, parks, and beaches.
The home combines the character and elegance of a traditional Victorian property with comfortable, well-appointed surroundings, creating a warm and homely atmosphere for residents.
The service is committed to providing personalised, person-centred care, with support tailored to the individual needs, preferences, and abilities of each resident. The dedicated care team provides 24-hour support with compassion and respect, helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life.

The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents with their daily care needs while providing guidance and support to the wider care team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, mentoring, and supporting care staff on shift
Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Supporting residents with personal care and daily living needs
Promoting dignity, independence, and choice
Supporting with medication where required
Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
Ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and well supported
Working closely with colleagues to maintain consistently high standards of care
About You
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care desirable
Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential care setting
Experience providing personal and person-centred care
Medication experience
Strong communication and leadership skills
A compassionate, caring, and respectful approach
Reliable, proactive, and team-focused
A genuine passion for supporting older people and enhancing their quality of life
