About the Home

We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Senior Care Assistant on behalf of a unique and well-established residential care service set within beautiful private grounds in the Leicestershire countryside, conveniently located between Market Harborough and Uppingham.

This distinctive home provides care and support for up to 40 residents aged from 35 upwards, including older people, who may require support with a range of complex needs including mental health conditions, dementia, previous alcohol or substance misuse, and behavioural needs.

Set within a magnificent historic property surrounded by landscaped gardens and panoramic views across the Welland Valley, the service offers something very different from a traditional residential care environment.

The home focuses on creating a genuine community rather than placing residents into conventional categories based on age or diagnosis. Residents are encouraged to live alongside one another, build relationships, maintain their independence and support each other wherever possible.

The beautiful surroundings, relaxed atmosphere and community-focused approach provide a calm and welcoming environment where residents can feel at home and continue to enjoy a meaningful quality of life.

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant working nights, you will play an important role in ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred support throughout the night.

Promoting dignity, independence and choice
Ensuring a safe, calm and supportive environment overnight
Supporting junior members of staff and leading by example
Communicating effectively with the wider care team regarding residents' needs
About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced and compassionate care professional who is confident working with individuals who may have complex mental health, dementia or behavioural needs.

Strong knowledge of person-centred care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to remain calm and professional when managing challenging situations
