A leading law firm is currently seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Construction and Public Procurement team in Dublin. The firm advises a wide range of clients across both the public and private sectors and has an established reputation for providing high-quality legal services within the construction and infrastructure space.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer with experience in construction law and/or public procurement to take on a senior role within a collaborative and growing team.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior colleagues to advise clients on a broad range of construction and procurement matters, including both contentious and non-contentious work. The role will involve regular client interaction and responsibility for managing matters from inception through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

Advising clients on a wide range of construction law and public procurement matters

Acting on construction and engineering contractual issues, claims and disputes

Supporting public bodies and contracting authorities in procurement processes

Advising bidders and suppliers on tender submissions and procurement challenges

Drafting and reviewing contracts, tender documentation, legal submissions and correspondence

Representing and advocating on behalf of clients in disputes where required

Delivering training sessions and seminars on construction and procurement law developments

Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team

Contributing to business development initiatives and professional networking activities

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate:

Qualified solicitor with relevant post-qualification experience in construction law and/or public procurement

Strong understanding of the commercial and regulatory aspects of the construction sector

Experience advising on construction contracts, procurement procedures, and dispute resolution

Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills

Proven ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines

Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers

A proactive approach to client relationship management and business development

A strong academic background in law or a related construction/legal discipline will be advantageous.
