An established professional services business is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant to provide additional support during a busy finance period, with a particular focus on audit preparation, reconciliations and wider finance operations.
This is a broad and varied role suited to somebody who can quickly adapt to a new environment, work independently and support multiple finance priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Support preparation for the external audit process
Coordinate audit requests and supporting documentation
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Assist with month-end close activities
Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments
Support financial controls and process documentation
Assist with reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
Work closely with stakeholders across the business
Support ongoing finance improvement projects
Candidate Profile
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or strong QBE background
Previous experience supporting year-end audit activity
Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience
Strong Excel capability including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and data analysis
Hands-on and proactive approach
Able to work independently and quickly understand processes
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience within professional services environments beneficial
